Are you planning to do any Christma baking? If you are then I have a great list that you are going to want to use! Check out any of these links below for some fabulous recipes!

You’re welcome!

Do you know who the hardest person in the world to buy for at Christmas time is?  My husband.  He is impossible.  He usually says he wants nothing.  Or he wants things that are very expensive.  Things like a boat.  You know things that normal people do not buy as Christmas presents.  Since it is so hard to come up with ideas for him I have to pay close attention all year long to comments he makes about things he might want.  We bought a flat panel TV a while ago and it is on our entertainment center.  But I did hear him make a comment once about a flat panel mount for our TV.  So, I’m thinking that might be a good idea for him.  It would also free up some space in our family room.  Other than that idea, I am at a loss!

Since it’s Halloween I thought it would make sense to post some Halloween safety tips.  Feel free to let me know if you can think of anything else and I’ll add it to the list.

  • Stay on the sidewalks
  • Walk
  • Stay in neighborhoods you know
  • Don’t cut across people’s yards, use their walkways
  • Carry a flashlight
  • Wear shoes that are good for walking in
  • Only go to houses with the lights on
  • Wear light colored clothing or add reflective tape to your costume
  • It’s better not to wear a mask at all, but if you wear one make sure you can see well through the eye holes.  Take it off if you need to cross the street.
  • Wear a flame resistant costume

Have fun!

Did you know that Thanksgiving is only a little over a month away?  I love Thanksgiving and always look forward to it every year.  We have always eaten at my parents house and there is usually lots of family there that we don’t get to see often enough.

Anyways, I have been thinking about what will be on the menu this year.  Here are some of my favorites that we ususally have to eat: Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, green bean casserole, rolls, corn pudding, and so much more.  Then of course there is dessert where we eat way too much pumpkin pie, apple pie, pecan pie, etc.  I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?

I’ve posted a few times about how I was going to get my fall decorating done.  Turns out to be a bit harder than I had planned on it being.  My toddler was quite insistent that she help with the decorating.  It was actually quite a bit of fun though to do it together.  And so far (I’m sure I’m totally jinxing myself) she hasn’t tried to take the decorations down.  I think it’s because she helped me to set them up.

Anyhoo, before I started my decorating I looked at a lot of home decorating ideas. To me, that is just fun to do.  Rather than do the same old thing year and after year, I like to change things up.  Before you start your decorating check out some ideas to change things around a little bit this year.  It’s fun and it will help to get those creative juices flowing!
