Did you make a resolution for this year? How is it going? So far I’m doing pretty good with the goals I set for myself. The one thing I am struggling with is losing weight. I don’t have a lot left to lose and I know that last pounds are the hardest to lose. But it’s frustrating. I wonder how many people were really motivated at the start of the year and went out and bought treadmill. Or how do you think the people are doing that said they were no longer going to smoke their arturo fuente cigars? Smoking will kill you, that’s a fact, no lying or bending the truth about that. Anyway, most people will get or feel discouraged and quit and give up their goals. I’m pretty sure it usually happens by the end of January. Although I’m not giving up I am discouraged.
Does your car need a little tune up? Or how about your body? It might be time to break out the old pull up bar, which I can’t do, a pull up. I don’t think I was ever able to do a pull up. Anyway, my car howver does need a tune up, which fortunately my husband can take care of all of that kind of stuff for me. It sure saves us a lot of money that he is so knowledgeable about cars. He recently put all new brakes on my car, in the front and the back, which would have cost quite a bit to have done at the dealership. He can do pretty much any job that needs to be done.
My sister Terra is going through some tough times. She is the mother of three, the wife of one, and she has to support them all. This might sound difficult already, but what makes it worse is that she lives on Long Island. If you’re not familiar with prices and expenses on Long Island, they’re through the roof. For example, her taxes are $13,000 per year. And now the pressure is really about to hit because she’s about to get laid off. I have no idea how to help her. I have tried several things, but she continuously blows me off. I feel like she’s offended when I offer assistance. I’m now writing her e-mails with my hughesnet satellite Montana connection to offer support. She seems to respond better to something written than something verbal, so I’ll stick with that approach. I’ve even looked on the hughes internet at job listings and sent them to her to try and help out.
If you happened to catch ‘wife of one’ and ‘support them all,’ then yes, that does mean her husband doesn’t work. What makes this tricky is that she loves him very much. And he’s also a very personable individual. He can talk his way into and out of anything. This should lead to a job, but the problem is that he uses his skills to get away with being lazy. Maybe I have been trying to offer assistance to the wrong person. Maybe he needs some kind of psychological help or some type of motivational therapy. Who knows. I’ll try anything at this point.
Whenever it came time for me to purchase a new car I was a bit unsure of where to start the process since it had been over ten years since my last vehicle purchase, but luckily I had hughes satellite Alaska to help me in my search.
The first thing I did after signing online was I went to a search engine and began looking up the top rated four door sedans as far as overall rating and crash test record. After doing a preliminary search I continued my online use by looking up the local dealerships in my area that carry the brand of Chevrolet. Once I had found the dealerships I went onto their websites and did a baseline price comparison to see which dealerships had the best deal posted online. After going through all the searches and cars I came across a well made 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that was available for purchase at my local Chevrolet dealer. The dealerships website had pictures of the car and basic information that suited my personal needs, so I decided to pay a trip to the dealership to make the final purchase.
Overall I was apprehensive about making a vehicle purchase, but thanks to hughsnet and the usefulness of basic search engines I was able to find a quality car and make a well informed purchase.
I can’t remember if I told you about this before- but my husband got a new laptop for Christmas. He has needed one for almost a year. His other one was just worn out. So I wanted to surprise him but since I had no idea what to buy I just let him pick it out. After he opened his present he left it in the box for a couple of weeks. He was trying to decide if he wanted to return it. Finally the last day to return it came and went so he opened it up. He really enjoyed it for the first couple of weeks. He needed to move everything from his old laptop to his new one. It’s not a very fun process, but it had to be done. Then after a couple of weeks the new laptop started having problems. It ended up being the mother board- which had to be replaced. Crazy, right? Anyways- the laptop is back and working just great. For now.
I just talked a little while ago about how I am getting discouraged with my weight loss. Maybe I should start using diet pills, or get some natural testosterone pills. Now that sounds funny natural testosterone. How do you think they get that into a pill, don’t know. But it seems that if you can get it into a pill people will buy it, not me, never in a million years. To be completey honest here, just doesn’t sound right to me. I me come on, how natural is anything in a pill, and now testosterone, no, not right with me. Where is the FDA, ddon’t they review these things to see if there real.
When I’m feeling stressed out, there’s only one cure: flip on my satellite tv online and turn on a rerun of Law and Order. Sure, the show was popular for the writing and the “ripped from the headline” cases, but what I like about it is the rhythm. The stories may be different, but it always hits the right beats: an unrelated couple discover a crime, the cops talk about it for a bit and make a zinger, they find a fake suspect, they get the real bad guy, the lawyers prosecute and argue about ethical issues, and then a shocking twist and a verdict. There’s also a 50/50 chance of a shooting on the steps of the courthouse.
It is comforting without ever being entirely predictable. You can leave the room, read a magazine, talk on the phone, or fall asleep and you’ll know right where you are in the narrative when you get back into it. There might be more sophisticated cop shows on the air, but few of them have the emotional appeal of a good Law and Order rerun.
Thankfully, it seems Law and Order is on 24/7 SOMEWHERE on television, so I’m usually in good shape when I get a hankerin’ for some cops and district attorney action.
Many people today are turning to the internet to feed their needs to play those slot machine games. This trend has exploded over the last few years. The U.S Government even placed a law against Americans from playing these slot games at online casino’s. Which I don’t agree with. I don’t agree with it because the Government has no right inside our homes.
Anyway, if you do play online, or you’re thinking about playing at an online casino make sure you understand who you’re playing with. What I mean is, just don’t load your account with any online casino. Make sure the casino you’re playing at is a certified online casino. There are a ton of online casino’s that isn’t certified and will take your money right out from under your feet. So have fun playing those slot machines online, and plan on losing the same as you plan on winning. If you plan on losing you won’t be so upset when you lose. And if you win you’ll feel a lot better. Good luck all!
My favorite past time used to be reading. Well, I guess you could say that it still is. Except now instead of reading books I’m usually reading blogs. It’s so much easier to read a quick blog post than it is to read a whole book now that I have a toddler around. I do hope that one day I will have more time to sit and relax with a book. Since my daughter loves to read I do read her quite a few books each day. Maybe when she is a little older I can get some new books at Amazon books and we will both sit with some hot chocolate and a comfy blanket and read together. For now, it’s blogs for me.
As most of you know, in the past we had a lot of problems with my hosting provider, major problems. Most of the problems I had were related to site outages, followed with long lag times and very poor customer service. I wasted a lot of money and time with the hosting provider that I was using. Now I’m not going to name them, but if I did, you would be very surprised.
Not to long ago I came across a hosting provider that offered dedicated server hosting, not what I was looking for, be worth a shot at taking a long at. Getting a dedicated hosting account could be costly, but much more secured than a shared hosting account.
I also came across a few review site’s that provided reviews from real people on hosting providers. If I would’ve known about this site, I would’ve never chosen the provider that I did in the past. Review site’s for the most part offer good information for the most part. You just need to know who’s providing the information, and if their being paid for it.
I would like to now pose a question to you all. Are you happy with your hosting provider, and are you looking for cheap and reliable web hosting services? If so look for a website that offers independent reviews on the top web hosting providers. You should then read about all pro’s and con’s of each provider. And don’t be affraid to make the switch, it’s easier than you think.
