I am feeling down right fat today.  The thing is that I really only need to lose a few more pounds to be at the higher end of my goal weight-range.  Why don’t I just buckle down for a few more weeks and lose those last few pounds?  I don’t know why.  It would probably be easier to use Lipofuze to help me lose weight than to just try to do it by myself.  But then again pills have never really worked for me. Mostly because once I stopped taking the pills the weight came back on. I need to just walk more and stop eating after 6pm every night.

Do you know what I think is terrible?  The number of middle class families who do not have health insurance.  And you know what?  I fall into that category.  Our kids have insurance because we have bought it for them.  But with my husband being a small business owner he does not have an employer to get insurance through.  And to buy our own insurance policy would cost thousands of dollars each month.  And we don’t have an extra $2000 per month just sitting around. Just to get treatment for something like acne we have to purchase our own acne treatments. Go thing these meds don’t cost that much. Anyway, they say we make too much to qualify for state help and we make too little to actually pay for our own plan. I am hoping things will change soon and we’ll be able to get some insurance we can afford.

Times are hard financially right now for many, many people. At one time people were able to put away part of their paycheck every week into a savings account, not anymore. At this point I read the people are running to those payday sites looking to get payday advances on there checks. In some states this service is banned because people were getting taking for a ride. I think for the most part this a choice, you take the loan out or you don’t. But the reason for some of these states banning the service is because the interest rate was getting out of control. If you do the break down on these loans it comes out to like 400%. So these payday company’s were told to show all fees and break downs on the loans. And people still go and take them out, not for me.

Winter is just about here and so is the season of colds and the flu.  We all want to stay healthy and avoid getting these germs- so here are a few tips to keep you healthy!

  • Eat right- eat your fruits and veggies.  Eating cookies and chips is bad for your body.
  • Try to get enough sleep. If you’re having a hard time sleeping look for the best sleep aids out there.  Your body can’t fight germs off as well if you are exhausted.
  • Wash your hands.  I tend to be a little obsessive about hand washing- but do it all of the time.  Carry hand sanitizer with you and keep your hands clean.
  • Get your flu shot.  Getting a flu shot does not make you sick.  You may have a few mild symptoms but it will be nothing compared to the actual flu.
  • Avoid people who are sick.

Fighting Diseases!

I came across some info today that offers a lot information related to the collection of cord blood, as well as other useful information. Cord blood is collected from the umbilical during the birth of a baby. People at times will opt to bank the cord blood for future use if the child ever becomes ill related to a major disease, like heart disease. Now it’s not cheap to bank this cord blood, but if it treats diseases you may end up with it’s well worth it in the end.

I really don’t know much about the banking of cord blood, and you may not either. But what I do know is that I rather see my child use their own body makeup to fight diseases than taking a pill like phentermine. I would also recommend you do a search online for more information to help you understand it more. If more people understand cord blood and how it can save your child’s life I’m sure more people would bank it. One thing that I do know for a fact is that you can’t decide the day your given birth, they need to know well in advance. If you wait you will not be able to get it done. So if your thinking of doing cord blood banking make sure you research as much as you can, and as always, talk to your doctor.

So you’re trying to lose some weight, me too? The problem I have when I’m dieting, which is just about all of the time, is that I am so hungry. And when I feel hungry I start to snack. Mybe I should consider looking into a few weight loss diets out there, maybe, don’t reaally know just yet. If you’re like me, instead of the pills here are a few tips that work for me:

  1. Eat more fiber- but don’t add too much all at once or you’ll end up feeling bloated. Add it to your diet slowly.
  2. Drink more water- many times you are thirsty, not hungry. Make sure you drink plenty of water and you’ll eat less.
  3. Eat slowly- chew your food. It’s not a race.

So, what works for you?

With Christmas quickly approaching I am starting to think about the various men I will have to buy gifts for this year.  It seems like the men are always the most difficult to buy for.  My husband, my dad, my father-in-law, my brothers…  it just seems so hard to come up with ideas for them for Christmas.  Maybe it’s just because their interests are so much different than mine.  If my mom or mother-in-law or sister-in-law wants some new fun gadget for the kitchen, it’s easy for me to get excited about that. I wonder if I will be able to find any great deals come Cyber Monday. I sure hope so, we’re going to need them this year. Any tips and tricks for me?

My husband and I have been wanting to move for the last year or so.  We keep talking about it and never do anything about it.  This fall we said after Christmas and New Years we were going to get our house ready to sell so we can move to where we both want to be.  So, now that holidays are over it’s time to get serious.  We need to put a new floor in our entry way, we need some new indoor lighting, we need to possibly replace the carpet it our bedroom and we need to do some painting. And we also might change out the door locks .  It should be fun to get all of this stuff done with a toddler!

When I think about Oriole Park at Camden Yards, I can smell the leather baseballs and wooden bats like I am already there. I really try to go to every home game, not only for the amazing game played be the Baltimore Orioles, but for the atmosphere and amazing food. If I can’t make it to the game, I always catch the game on Satellite TV.

George Herman “Babe” Ruth was actually born about two blocks away from the field. Although the field was not opened until 1992 (the building of it started in 1989), it definitely pays homage to him. On the same street as the park, there is a statue of Babe Ruth, respectively named “Babe’s Dream,” that was built in 1996.

The ball field itself is a masterpiece. First, Oriole Park has an occupancy of almost 50,000 people. It has freshly installed HD TVs and HD speakers from www.directstartv.com/directv_programming/directv_interactive_channels.html. And more importantly, Cal Ripken, Jr. broke Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,130 consecutive games played.

The Baltimore Orioles as a team is absolutely amazing. My personal favorite pitcher is definitely Kevin Millwood. He starts of games with a “boom,” and continues to persevere the entire game. The best catcher, I think, is Matt Wieters.

Ultimately, the Baltimore Orioles are an amazing team with an amazing history. Nothing sums up summer like a great game at Oriole Park with sunflower seed shells at your feet.

Addiction can be a terrible thing to have to face.  Fortunately if you need help with finding a detox centers clinic there are many places you can turn to. You find many that offer several programs that can be of assistance. Do your searching online, you will find choice’s of many residential recovery of even an out patient recovery programs.  I came across one that have been helping people for many years and has developed a great reputation.  Don’t put if off another day- if you need help, or you know someone that does don’t delay any longer. Another place to turn to your local Government, you can find a lot of good information there as well.
