Back during the summer my husband and I were planning a trip to Disney World with my family. We had the dates all set and were ready to make our reservations. Then some things came up for one of the groups who was supposed to be going. We tried to make it work out and to figure out when everyone could go, but it just didn’t happen. So, now whenever I see people talking about their Disney vacations I start to feel sad thinking about how we are not going. I had even started doing a series on how to plan your Disney trip since we have been a few times. Now I don’t want to finish the series because it makes me depressed.
In an earlier post I was talking about using your own pictures for your Christmas Cards. Which got me thinking about taking pictures. I love taking pictures and I love that I can take hundreds of pictures with my digital camera without worrying about the cost of printing unnecessary pictures.
I was looking at the Kodak website and they offer 10 tips for taking great pictures. They are pretty simple tips, so I thought I would share them with you. If you visit the link about you can get more in depth information about each of the tips, but for this I am just going to give you the general information.
- Get down on their level.
- Use a plain background.
- Use flash outdoors.
- Move in close.
- Take some vertical pictures.
- Lock the focus.
- Move it from the middle.
- Know your flash’s range.
- Watch the light.
- Be a picture director.
I am sure many people will be taking some road trips this fall, including me. The idea of taking a road trip with your children might sound as good as getting some teeth pulled without any novocaine, Or maybe that’s just me.
I found a great article from parents.com with several suggestions to help make those car rides more bearable. Here’s a few of my favorite choices:
- Bring a cookie sheet and magnetic numbers or letters
- Bring along a Travel ‘N Go Doodle
- Add a toy steering wheel so your child can pretend to drive.
- If you’re bringing along any new toys make sure you have scissors to get the toy out of the packaging.
If you own a business then I am sure you have felt the pinch of our economy. I know most of has felt the effects in one way or another. But if you are a small business owner it is probably especially hard on you. What can you do to make sure your business survives? I don’t have any special tricks for you or the answer to that question. But I can offer a couple of tips based on what I have read.
One is get a website. Every business needs a website whether for information use or process orders. And once you do get online find a great directory submission software package to get your business found online. Just having a site isn’t going to help, you need to be found. Let me know of any other tips or tricks to help small businesses in this rough economy.
If you or someone you know suffers from acne then you know what a painful condition it can be. There are misconceptions that those who have acne are dirty or eat too much junk food. But that just isn’t the case. Acne needs to be treated medically for some people. You can find an acne treatment just about anywhere these days. Locating a treatment online is one of the best ways. Not only can you read reviews before you buy, you can also get the best deal. Then call your doctor to see if it will work for you. Always let your doctor know.
There are so many different kinds pills out there. You can online and purchase a pill for just about anything. You can purchase diet pills, vitamins, and even a pill for natural male enhancement . It’s unreal the crap you can find online. As long as there’s a market for a pill there will always be someone that makes it, and sells it. I once read that all pills, no matter what there used for causes harm to your body. You think you’re taking a pill that helps your problem, which it is, but it’s also causing another one, you can’t win. Anyway, see your doctor before you take anything. And then research what he or she is giving you. I never put anything in my body unless I know everything about it.
I am starting to plan a party, getting everthing together now. The party isn’t until late October, but want to get things done now. This way if something comes up I can take care of that as well. I just rented the place the party is going to be at, got some supplies aready as well. I think this year to save some money I be printing out some things using 108r00727 , whatever that means. I think it’s the name of the ink or something. Anyway, printing my own stuff I think I’ll save a few dollars, which means I can use that saved money for an extra gift, or larger cake, not sure yet.
I just talked a little while ago about how I am getting discouraged with my weight loss. I only have a little more weight to lose. But I seem to be stuck, no I’m stuck. Over the last few months been even harder to lose weight. I was doing pretty good but, but our up coming vacation will do me in. I’m stuck again. I’m thinking that I might need to take some of the best diet pills out there, or something like that to give my diet the kick it needs!
The Dow and other markets are up over last year. And it might be time to unlocking your pension before you are 55. Most people over the age of 55 are taking a lower risk with their pensions, which I can’t blame them. Only time will tell if it will last on Wall Street, as well as other markets around the world. The price of gold is on the up and up as well. Just around every corner you can find people and businesses selling gold, and gold bullion.
Now the real question everyone should be asking is, “will this last?” A few exprerts think it’s all going to crash again, while others think their nuts. At this point anything can still happen, the world is still very unstable. And even more unstable for the people living in the UK. Some of these older people are even considering taking out pension loans, ouch. What I hope for is that everything turns around, and stay’s turned around soon.
Did you know that I have a 10 year old furry child? I can’t remember if I have ever mentioned her here on this blog. Before my daughter arrived a couple of years ago the furry child was the center of attention. She was, and still is, treated like a human. When we first got her we looked at beds for her but she made it quite clear that she would have none of that. Human adjustable beds were the only thing good enough for her. And she slept right between me and my husband for the first 8 years of her life. Then we brought home a baby and everything changed for my furry little child. Although she does still sneak in our bed sometimes, she actually prefers to sleep under our bed now. It’s safer there.
