Do you know what would be really fun? Designing and wearing your own t-shirt. I wish I had some sort of artistic ability so that I could do something like that. I could design matching shirts for my family to wear on our next vacation. Okay, I’m not too sure everyone would want to cooperate with that idea, but it’s better than having them wearing pop displays .

Anyways, I was looking at a few sites today where you are able to design your own t-shirts. I love how it all works, having a one of a kind t-shrit. I found so many choices for the different kind of shirts you have your design printed on. I played around with a few of these site and picked a cute ladies tee that I would want in light pink. Then if you happen to have the artistic ability that I wish I had you send your black and white camera ready design to have it printed on your custom t-shirts.

If you’re like me and you like the idea of personalized t-shirts but you don’t have an artistic bone in your body- that’s okay too. There are sites out there that can create a custom design for you.

There are an awful lot of idiots out there.  Either that or I’m just in a bad mood tonight (I am).  But, clearly- this guy is an idiot.

A teenager was seen taking earrings from a JC Penny’s store, caught by the wireless security systems , I think that’s what these stores use these days.  He put them into his water bottle and left the store.  When he was confronted by security he drank the water- swallowing the earrings.  So now, not only does he face charges for stealing the earrings- he is also facing charges for tampering with evidence.

I just don’t understand why some people do the crazy things they do.  Although, honestly- it sounds like something an ex-boyfriend of mine from high school would have done.

I am no good at coming up with gift ideas. If it is a gift for my youngest daughter- that is easy since she is only 3. But for anyone else I need help! Although if I did have a hard time coming up with an idea for her- I could get a simple toy and she would be happy with it. What I have a hard time with is what to get for my in-laws, I never know what to buy for them. I’v thought about giving them a personalized gift , but not sure if that’s something they would want. What I end up doing is giving them a gift card, simple aand easy. With a gift card they can get anything they want, takes the guess work out of it, and that’s what I like.

If you own a business then I am sure you have felt the pinch of our economy. I know most of has felt the effects in one way or another. But if you are a small business owner it is probably especially hard on you. What can you do to make sure your business survives? I don’t have any special tricks for you or the answer to that question. But I can offer a couple of tips based on what I have read.

One thing you may want to consider is get to know your customers. Maybe create a email list or a mailing list and send out cards or even photo cards . The more you create a personal relationship with your customers the better the chance that you will have repeat business. That’s what I would hope to receive from some of the people I do business with.

Back several years ago I worked as a manager for a phone company.  I spent most of my day in front of my computer screen working on customers accounts, working with project management software , and emailing other managers.  One very important aspect of the business was being able to work on customers accounts from any computer.  That way if one of the reps who worked for me had a problem with an account I could easily pull it up on my screen.  But having all of the computers connected that way also opens you up to security problems.

That’s where remote access software comes in to play.  I have no idea what the company I worked for used, but it work ok. It seemed like everyday we had a problem. Anyway, that was the past, and that job is way behind me. Just thought I would share a little piece of my past here.

My husband has everything he needs and most of the stuff he wants.  I never know what to get for him when it comes time to buy him gifts. When it comes to gifts we sometimes just take a getaway trip. He has all of the little technical things guys like- laptop, flat screen TV, DVD player, PlayStation, Wii, Palm Pilot, external hard drive etc.  The only thing I can think of that he doesn’t have is  a motorcycle, which isn’t safe, but he wants one.  I guess I’ll have to look into that for his next gift receiving occasion- father’s day.  I have time to plan but I really should get started!

Getting Help!

What can we do to help our teenager’s have good self esteem these days? It’s so hard at that age with all of the hormones rushing through their bodies. Their bodies are changing, they have such mood swings, they start to worry about their appearance, and just about everything else. So, what can you do? We can encourage healthy eating. You don’t want to push too much or too little. Your kids can sit around and eat junk food but you don’t want to deprive them of it either. The better they eat and exercise will help the most. But remember, most teenagers will still have problems with acne, and even eczema. Finding the right eczema treatment and acne treatment will be key to their treatment. Don’t over due it, and make sure you read everything their doctor recommends. Understanding all treatments will help you make the right one.

Healthcare!

I was just reading that medical insurance companies are starting to get scared, scared that a national health care plan is going to hurt their bottom line, as it should. These same companies have been taken an advantage of Americans for years. Now that President Obama is showing signs that things need to change their starting to change their ways. These insurance companies are going to lose millions of dollars, and a few think their going to go out of business. Going to a national health care plan does have it’s pros and cons, but I think more pros. The level of care would sink a little, but the main point is that everyone will be covered. The cost of of other products like prevera good go up or down, it’s really anyone’s guess. The cost of supplies could go up or down. What I do think is by offering care to everyone will make for a much more healthier America. I also understand our taxes will go up, but not as much as everyone may think. We already found so many programs that if we combined them all in one that would help reduce the tax increase. Anyway, I could go on and on about this, but I won’t. I just like to add one last thing, I hope that Obama and Congress will see right through these insurance companies lies and move forward with the national healthcare plan.

There are a lot of companies out there ready to take your money and tell you the best ways to lose weight. I have tried a lot of different methods and taken a few so called diet pills. I even done the diet pill comparison to see what would work the best for me. The thing that worked the best for me was eating whatever I wanted- but just less than I used to eat and exercising everyday. I was looking at Weight Watchers today and what they offer.  It seems to me that basically their system is that you get a certain number of points each day that you can use for your food. It’s a way to keep track of what you’ve eaten and is more effective than counting calories. Now I have never actually used their program but I am thinking about it. Any thoughts or tips?

Now I am not the most fashion hip person there is out there, but I do try my best.  I make sure that my clothes are clean and that they match, same goes for my shoes.  I try to have the latest styles too.  One thing that I always do is to make sure my socks match.  That has always been a pet peeve of mine- when people’s socks are so obviously not matching their outfits.  My tip today is to purchase some christian louboutin shoes , they seem to be pretty neat. That way you’ll have another set of shoes to match your different outfits.  So, go ahead and purchase yourself some new shoes to go with your new clothes.
