If you feel happy- you eat to celebrate.  If you feel sad- you eat to make yourself feel better.  If you’re bored- you eat.  If you’re mad- you eat.  Sound familiar?  That is exactly how I am.  So, what can you do about it?

Figure out what emotions are causing you to eat too much.  Your husband made you mad so you ate an entire box or cookies.  The kids won’t listen today and you’re frustrated so you eat an entire bag of chips.  The first thing you need to do is recognize what you’re doing.  You’re eating when you’re upset.  So, what can you do about it?  Make a purposeful decision to do something different.  When you feel upset make a conscious choice to do something like call a friend to vent, scrub your kitchen or start a blog where you complain to the world. You can also search the internet for things that would make you laugh. I came across something funny the other day called testosterone cream . I never thought in a million years you could buy a pill related to testosterone, but I was wrong. I guess there’s a pill for everthing.
