Back when I was teaching it often scared me to think about the different diseases that the children might possibly have.  I know it’s awful to think about but you just never know.  The policy we had was to treat every child like they had something terrible like AIDS.  That means if the child is bleeding you get some disposable gloves and put them on your hands before helping the child.  We even wore gloves when handling simply treatment creams, like tretinoin cream . Sometimes it’s hard to think that way when you’re dealing with an innocent child but you have to keep your own safety and health in mind, as well as your family at home.
