We are talking about moving after the holidays. We are not happy where we live and since we both work from home it only makes sense to move and be closer to our family, including my stepdaughter. There are a lot of ways to save money.  We hardly ever use one of our cars but we want to keep it on the road in case our main car breaks down.  So a friend of ours recommended we call our insurance provider to get some new insurance quotes and see if we could get a lower rate.  Sure enough- they lowered our rate because we rarely drive it. Several years ago I was diagnosed with having TMJ.  My dentist had a mouth guard made for me that I had to wear at night.  It really helped my jaw not to hurt as much.  The basic reason for my TMJ is that I grind my teeth and clench my teeth together all of the time.

I stopped wearing the mouth guard for a while and my jaw started to hurt again.  But since I had not worn it for a while my teeth had shifted a bit and it no longer fit me.  Without any insurance it’s just too expensive to have a mouth guard made again.  So, when I was asked to review the Dentek dental mouth guard I was excited to try it out!

I wore the mouth guard for one night and in the morning my jaw felt much better!!  My only complaint is that having the mouth guard in my mouth made me feel like gagging.  I have a sensitive gag reflex so it doesn’t take much to make me gag.  I was able to sleep with it in just fine, but when I woke up I had to take it out right away to keep from gagging. Overall I think it’s worth giving it a try- much cheaper and easier than having your dentist make one.

My bed is so uncomfortable.  We bought it over 9 years ago shortly after we got married.  My husband had a water bed before we got married but we decided to buy a regular bed.  We were newly weds with not a whole lot of extra cash to spend.  So we bought a cheap mattress.  And we are still using it all of these years later.  I want to go out and buy a brand new mattress that I can sleep comfortably on.  Latley it’s been like sleeping on an exam table, not really, but close. Hopefully this will be the year we get that new comfy bed.
