Are you taking a summer road trip to the Outer Banks? We took a road trip with our toddler a little while ago. We had thought it was going to be pretty bad but it actually ended up going very well. A few things we did to keep from going insane:
- Wrap up some new toys from the dollar store. Give a new gift when the other one gets old.
- Bring a DVD player and new DVDs to watch. We borrowed some from the library, so it was free.
- Have some favorite snacks packed.
- Stop every couple of hours to get out of the car for a while.
I know there are lots of tips out there, but these are the ones that worked the best for us.
I know it was a week ago but I’ve been too busy to blog about Easter yet. We had a great Easter. We started out in the morning with our daughter searching for her Easter basket. This was the first year she really understood- so it was a lot of fun. She loves chocolate so she was thrilled with the contents of her basket. Later on we went to church and had an amazing service. After church my daughter took her nap and then we ate some dinner. It was a perfect day. The weather was a bit chilly but that didn’t make any difference- we had a wonderful Easter.
I need to get away!! This move has me stressed out. There just seems to be one issue after another coming up. When we first put our house up for sale and it sold right away I thought we were making the right move. I thought it was a sign that this was a good choice. Now I’m starting to wonder. UGH!
Anyhoo, once we get all settled down in our new home I think my husband and I should take a nice little get away to Westgate. There are several locations, but we would most likely go to Florida- our favorite place. Just thinking about it makes me relax just a little bit.
Some people are really unbelievable, but this story really shocked me. I am pretty much used to the crazy things people do, but not this.
Two ladies set up an elaborate scheme to collect lots of money. They made up fictitious people, bought insurance policies and waited for them to mature. Then the two worked as funeral workers to bury these fake people and collect insurance money. There were quite a few people involved in this mess.
Why not just find a legitimate job? They could have invested in a baby jogger stroller business and made money that way. Instead they committed this crazy crime.
You come home from an evening out. You find a burglar leaving your house with your expensive jewelry and electronic items. The burglar realizes he is caught. So, he apologizes and puts the items back that he was stealing.
Is the apology enough for you? It wouldn’t be for me. And it wasn’t enough for a New Hampshire homeowner that it actually happened to.
I guess the burglar realized it would be better to just look for economy hotels promotions to save some money than to steal from someone else. Either way, police are looking for him.
