I think that most of us know that the weather and certain health problems are related.  For instance my mom broke her leg many years ago.  And whenever there is storm coming she can predict it by how her leg feels.  She doesn’t even need to watch the weather to know a storm is coming.  Arthritis and weather definitely have a connection.

My daughter has asthma and there seem to be certain triggers in the weather that make her asthma worse.  There is a site called MediClim that can send you email alerts as to when those weather changes are taking place- letting you know ahead of time that your condition could be about to get worse.  It’s certainly a valuable tool to check out.

I am depressed.  I am sick of winter.  I am sick of snow.  I am sick of the cold.  I am sick of the dark, dreary days.  I hate winter and it is making me depressed.

And so.

I have started planning our trip for next September to Disney World.  I have the hotel picked out.  I know what kind of park tickets we want.  I have our flights picked out.  We will get transportation from Disney World to the airport so I don’t have to worry about renting a car.  We are buying the meal plan from Disney so I can start figuring out where we want to eat dinner.  And in March I can start making our dinner reservations.

So now- I am excited!  I know it’s a ways away.  But it’s something to look forward to.

Now I just need to figure out how we’re going to pay for it.

Now I know that summer is still a few months away.  And considering that we usually take our summer vacation in September- it’s even further away.  But, in order to make it through these dark dreary months I have started looking into planning our next vacation.  Our favorite place to vacation is Disney World so I have started looking into going there.

You might remember a few months ago I was talking about how to plan a great trip to Disney World.  Since it’s time to get serious now I have started looking into some hotels.  One of the sites I used to check out where we could stay was HotelsCombined.com.  I like the set up of this site because I was able to say we want our hotel to be within 10 minutes of Disney World as well as listing the features we want such as internet and a swimming pool.  The other thing I loved was that it gave prices for all of the different booking sites so I could easily compare.

Another site I checked was Disney World Vacation Packages because I love the idea of being able to plan my entire trip from the airline to my food all in one place.  You can pick your Disney hotel, get your flight, get transportation to and from the airport, choose a ticket plan for the parks, choose a meal plan for your food and so much more.  It’s an easy way to get it all done in one place.

I also checked out hotels.com and found their prices to be quite a bit more.  Plus I don’t really care for their site set up.

Well I’m off to do some more research.  Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

This weekend my husband and I are going to go out of town for the first time since we had our daughter.  Honestly I’m a bit worried about it.  She is staying with my parents and I know she’ll be fine.  Actually I know she’ll be fine during the day, it’s the night time I’m worried about.  I’ve never left her for more than a few hours and I’ve only done that a few times. So this is going to be tough.

But, I know this is good for my marriage.  My husband and I are still a couple even though we have a child.  It’s important for us to get some time just to ourselves.  I don’t know what we’ll do.  Probably sit around and wonder what our daughter is doing.  But I think it’s important and we need to do it.

I just read an interesting story about some highway state workers who were cleaning up the roads in Indiana.  They found an old abandoned tire and it had around $100,000 in it.  Fortuanately they were honest and contacted the police about it.  A police dog found the scent of drugs on the money so it is assumed that the money was drug money.

I think it’s an interesting story.  I wonder how long the tire was there.  How could someone hide that much money in their tire and then lose their tire and just leave it?  Crazy.

Are you looking for a way to make your auctions more exciting?  Maybe you have some items you want to sell or maybe your business is selling.  Either way you’ll want to check out Bidboxr.com.  If you are talking on your blog about your item that you are selling you can have an banner ad on the sidebar with that exact item in it.  Then if someone wants more information they can click on the banner and place their bid right there.  This great for sellers but also for buyers as well.  I don’t have anything to sell but I can certainly see the benefits.  If I was reading about a product on a favorite blog and I could make a purchase that easily I would be much more likely to do so.  Check out this site!

Did you know that I have a 10 year old furry child?  I can’t remember if I have ever mentioned her here on this blog.  Before my daughter arrived a couple of years ago the furry child was the center of attention.  She was, and still is, treated like a human.  When we first got her we looked at pet beds for her but she made it quite clear that she would have none of that.  Human beds were the only thing good enough for her.  And she slept right between me and my husband for the first 8 years of her life.  Then we brought home a baby and everything changed for my furry little child.  Although she does still sneak in our bed sometimes, she actually prefers to sleep under our bed now.  It’s safer there.

Once upon a time, years ago, there was a particular guy I kinda liked.  He was too old for me and married.  He was nice to me but never tried to make me think I was anymore than a friend.  He started a singing group and they had their first concert in Kentucky.  Even though I lived several states and many hours away from Kentucky we went to see him and his new group perform.  We were only there for the weekend so we didn’t need to look into any Kentucky auto insurance.  But if we had we could have used the Internet to find some.  Actually that was before the days using the Internet for everything.  Anyhoo- just a little trip down memory lane.

A couple in Pennsylvania deposited a check into their account for $1,772.50 last summer.  The deposit showed up as $177,250.  They quit their jobs and moved to Florida where they were in the process of buying a new home when the mistake was discovered.

Now?  They are in jail with bail set at $100,000.  Their excuse?  They didn’t notice it.  Apparently the husband’s job often brought about large checks and they just figured it was one of those.  Really?  Why would they quit their jobs if this was a normal occurrence?  Can you believe their excuse?  Crazy!

I read online today about a couple who got married in Taco Bell.  And I’m sorry but I think that is pretty trashy.

They met online and talked back and forth for about 9 months before the woman moved from Australia to the US to be with the man.  He proposed on New Years Eve.  Then they decided that since they both liked Taco Bell that they would get married there.

What happened to a wedding being a sacred promise?  It’s just hard to take it seriously when they got married at Taco Bell.  But that’s just my opinion.
